✔️ Why you'll love this recipe!

    • An easy air fryer summer side dish.
    • No oil is needed so it's lower in fat than regular corn on the cob.
    • Ready in just 15 minutes.
    • The kids love it!

    What is an air fryer?

Air fryers are small(ish) kitchen appliances that operate like a convection oven—except in a smaller, more concentrated space.

The air is circulated at a high temperature and evenly around the food, which makes the food cook more quickly than in a conventional oven and helps give foods a crispy coating without the need for lots of oil and fat.

Which air fryer? I use the Ninja Foodi MAX PRO Health Grill, Flat Plate and Air Fryer with 7 customisable cooking functions including grill, flat plate, air fry, roast, bake, reheat and dehydrate! It also comes with a digital cooking probe that precisely monitors your food’s temperature as it cooks.

    💭 Expert tip

For extra crispy corn on the cob, spray or brush the corn ears with olive oil (or vegetable oil) prior to air frying. I like to keep my corn on the cob lower in fat, so skip this step!

    🥡 Storage

Store: Air fryer corn on the cob is best eaten fresh. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Reheat: Place in a hot air fryer for a few minutes to reheat.

Freeze: Not suitable for home freezing.

    ❓ Frequently asked questions

Do I need to cook the air fryer corn in aluminium foil?

There is no need to wrap the corn in aluminium foil before air frying.

Can I use frozen corn ears?

Yes, allow the corn to defrost for 30 minutes prior to cooking in the air fryer. You may need to add 2-3 minutes to the cooking time, depending on the make and model of your air fryer.

    Can I air fryer cobettes?

Yes! Follow the recipe but reduce the cooking time by 2-3 minutes. You should be able to fit 6-8 corn cobettes into a large air fryer basket.
