🛒 Ingredients
Only two ingredients are needed to make these delicious Nutella puff pastry swirls!

🔪 How to make Nutella puff pastry swirls
The recipe card with ingredient quantities and detailed instructions can be found at the bottom of the post
One: Lay the sheet of ready-rolled puff pastry onto a board and spread over the Nutella (leaving a 1cm gap at the top and bottom).
Two: Roll the pastry up on the long edge as tightly as you can, and cut it into 1.5cm slices using a sharp knife. If you have time, chill the pastry roll in the fridge for 10 minutes prior to cutting.
Three: Place the Nutella swirls onto a lined baking sheet.
Four: Bake in the oven for 15 minutes until golden and crispy. Dust with icing sugar when cool.

💭 Top tips
- Use a ready-rolled puff pastry sheet to save time!
- Roll the pastry up as tight as you can to ensure you get lovely layers in the swirls.
- If you have time, chill the pastry roll for 10 minutes, then cut the swirls and bake. Chilling helps firm up the pastry and makes cutting it easier. If you don't have time, don't worry!
- For a glossy finish, glaze the swirls with an egg wash prior to baking. I prefer to dust the baked Nutella swirls with icing sugar.
🍴 Serving suggestions
Serve the Nutella puff pastry swirls as a sweet canape at parties, for after-school sweet treats, or even breakfast!
They are also delicious served warm for an easy dessert, with fresh berries and a scoop of honeycomb ice cream.

📖 Variations
- If you don't want to use Nutella spread, you could use fruity mincemeat, raspberry jam, or even biscoff spread instead!
- Sprinkle chopped hazelnuts over the layer of Nutella spread before rolling, slicing, and baking the swirls.
- Use gluten-free pastry to make the Nutella puff pastry swirls gluten-free!
🥡 Storage
- To Store. The baked Nutella swirls will keep in an airtight container for up to 4 days. They can be eaten after this, but the pastry will have started to soften and lose it's crispness.
- To Reheat. The Nutella pinwheels are usually eaten at room temperature, but if you prefer, you can warm them in a hot oven for a few minutes.
- To Freeze. It's best to freeze the swirls unbaked. The best way to do this is to open freeze them on baking sheets, then after an hour or so, place them into a freezer bag. The Nutella swirls can be cooked from frozen, just add 5-8 minutes to the cooking time.
