Easy green apple monsters with slimy Biscoff spread gums, spiky pumpkin seed teeth, and blood-red strawberry tongues! Don't forget the edible candy eyes!
A fun and healthy Halloween treat for kids!

I'm not the most artistic person around (you only need to take a look at my gingerbread skeletons from 2010 to understand what I'm talking about 🤣), so I often get a bit overwhelmed with all the fantastic Halloween-themed recipes I see floating around on Pinterest at this time of year.
I guessed there must be lots of parents like me, who are... 'ahem'... creatively challenged, so I wanted to make sure these green apple monsters were really easy to make (if I can make them, anyone can!), and quick too (10 minutes max)!

✔️ Why you'll love this recipe!
- Fun and healthy Halloween treat.
- Quick (10 minutes) and easy to make.
- Healthy Halloween snack idea for kids.
- Perfect for Halloween parties.
🛒 Ingredient notes

Apples - I used Granny Smith, but any green apple would work.
Biscoff Spread - smooth Biscoff spread is best, or swap for peanut butter or Nutella.
Pumpkin Seeds - for the teeth. You could also use sunflower seeds.
Strawberries - cut into thin slices for the monster tongues.
Edible Eyes - stuck on with Biscoff spread. If you can't get hold of edible eyes, use raisins or currants.
🔪 Instructions
The recipe card with ingredient quantities and detailed instructions can be found at the bottom of the post
One: Wash and dry the apples then quarter the green apples with a sharp knife and slice off the core and seeds.
Two: Cut out a v-shape into the centre of the apple quarter for the mouth. Repeat the process with all three apples.
Three: Spread a layer of Biscoff spread into the mouths.
Four: Press 4 pumpkin seeds into the top of the mouth to form the monsters teeth.
Five: Place a triangular piece of sliced strawberry into each mouth to form the tongue.
Six: Secure the edible eyes (or raisins) with a little biscoff spread.
Seven: Serve immediately or cover and chill in the fridge.

📖 Variations
- Use sliced cheese for the tongue instead of strawberries.
- Swap the edible eyes for chocolate chips.
- Press broken bits of pretzels into the top of the apples for monster 'hair'.

🥡 Storage
Store: Best eaten fresh as soon as they are made, but they can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Freeze: Not suitable for home freezing due to the high moisture content of the fruit.
