Air fryer pigs in blankets are a beloved British side dish that is often served alongside roast dinners and Christmas lunch.
This classic dish features pork cocktail sausages, lovingly referred to as "pigs," wrapped in delicious streaky bacon, or "blankets." It's important to note that this dish is not to be mistaken for the American version of pigs in a blanket, which typically consist of mini hot dogs wrapped in Crescent rolls.
Air frying pigs in blankets is a great way to save precious oven space during special occasions like Christmas, especially when you have lots of side dishes to prepare and cook.
This classic dish is the perfect complement to a succulent Christmas turkey or Christmas ham and I always make sure I prepare double the amount I think I'll need because everyone loves them!

🔪 How to cook pigs in blankets in air fryer
The recipe card with ingredient quantities and detailed instructions can be found at the bottom of the post
One: Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) and spray the bottom of the air fryer basket with a light oil (fry light) to prevent them from sticking.
Two: Once the air fryer comes up to temperature, place the pigs in blankets in the air fryer basket and air fry for 8-10 minutes until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
Top Tip
Don't overcrowd your air fryer basket. Air needs to be able to circulate all around, so the bacon gets crispy. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in two batches.
