    1. Quick & easy – just 4 ingredients and 20 minutes.
    2. Versatile – enjoy this plum compote sauce with breakfast, desserts, or savoury dishes.
    3. Great for preserving ripe summer plums.
    4. Naturally dairy-free & vegan.

    🛒 Ingredients

Fresh plums – ripe but firm (any variety such as Victoria, damsons, or black plums).

Sugar – caster sugar or granulated sugar, adjusted to taste.

Orange Juice – or swap for lemon juice.

Cinnamon Stick - for more flavour. You could also use vanilla.

Water – just a splash to help everything cook down.

🔪 How to Make Plum Compote

One: Halve, stone then quarter the pums.

Two: place all of the ingredients in a pan, bring to boil then turn down the heat to a simmer. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the compote thickens. Leave to cool.

    Top Tips

    • Taste your plums before cooking – reduce or increase the sugar depending on sweetness.
    • Add more water if you prefer a thinner plum sauce consistency.
    • Stir gently to avoid breaking up the fruit too much if you like a chunky texture.
    • This easy plum recipe can be doubled or tripled for batch cooking.
