150gCrunchy Nut Cornflakesor just use ordinary cornflakes

Instructions
Line a 20cm (8") square baking tin with baking paper or clingfilm.
Melt the butter, golden syrup, cocoa powder, and salt in a saucepan on a low heat. Stir often to prevent the mixture from burning.
150 g Golden Syrup, 80 g Butter, 30 g Cocoa Powder, ¼ teaspoon Salt
Stir in the cornflakes and chocolate chips. Mix until every cornflake is coated in chocolate.
150 g Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, 100 g Chocolate Chips
Firmly press the mixture into the tin and smooth the top with a spatula.
Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before cutting into squares with a sharp knife.
Notes
Variations:
Add the zest of half an orange for chocolate orange cracknell.
Stir in 100g of chopped mint chocolate for mint chocolate cracknell.
For peanut cracknell, mix in 100g of crushed peanuts and replace 15g of golden syrup with peanut butter.
Stir in leftover chopped chocolates such as Quality Street!
Drizzle the top with melted chocolate or caramel for extra indulgence.
