Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F) and line the base of the air fryer basket with baking paper.
Whisk together the soy sauce, honey and sea salt in a small bowl.
Lay the salmon portions skin side down into the air fryer basket. Brush with half of the glaze.
Air fry for 7 minutes.
Take out of the air fryer and drizzle with the remaining glaze and sprinkle over the sesame seeds.
Return to the air fryer for a further 1-2 minutes until cooked. Leave to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Top Tips:
Make sure the salmon fillets aren't touching each other in the air fryer, to ensure the sides cook evenly.
To test whether the salmon is cooked, use a fork to gently flake a piece off. If it flakes easily the salmon is done to perfection. If you have a food probe thermometer, the internal temperature is recommended to be 45-50°c (110-125F).
Let the salmon fillets rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Variations:
Make it spicy by adding 1 teaspoon of chili powder or chili flakes to the honey glaze.
Use different flavour glazes. How about a balsamic garlic glaze, or even a sweet chilli and lime glaze?
Use different fish such as tuna steaks or cod fillets.
