These deliciously crispy air fryer sweet potato fries are super quick and easy to make, but most importantly incredibly tasty! Great as a side dish or just for dipping!
1tablespoonOlive Oilor use sunflower or vegetable oil
½teaspoonSea Salt
½teaspoonSmoked Paprika
¼teaspoonGarlic Powder
¼teaspoonOregano
⅛teaspoonBlack Pepper
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400F).
Peel and cut the potatoes in half lengthways (which will make it easier to lay them flat on a chopping board and start cutting into long slices). The thinner you cut them, the more crispy they will be. I recommend that you cut them to about 1 cm thickness
Place the sweet potato fries into a bowl and pour in the olive oil and sprinkle over the seasonings. Use your hands to make sure each sweet potato is coated.
Put the fries into the air fryer basket and air fry for 20 minutes, shaking the basket after 10 minutes to make sure they cook evenly.
Notes
Top Tips:
Use two sweet potatoes that are roughly the same size and aren't too long so you can cut fries from the full length of the sweet potato.
Preheat your air fryer so the air fryer basket is nice and hot when you place the fries in it. It helps to keep them crispy.
Shake after 10 minutes to make sure the fries cook evenly.
Variations:
Try with regular white potatoes instead. Don't forget you will need to soak white potatoes before using them in the air fryer.
Try different seasonings.
Make them cheesy fries by serving them in a bowl with grated mozzarella cheese sprinkled on top.
